Chapter Five Slipping on her black, Tracey Reese, ruched shift dress, that hugged her just right, Jazmine checked herself out in her floor to ceiling closet mirror making sure that everything looked perfect. She reached into her closet and pulled out her 6 inch Christian Louboutins which accented her legs to perfection. Putting on her diamond, teardrop earrings with the necklace to match, she grabbed her black clutch purse and headed downstairs. Taking a shot of her Twenty Grand Vodka to calm herself down, she hears the sound of the doorbell. While walking to the door, she trips over her all white Persian rug. "Damn, I really need to get it together." She says as she checks herself out one more time and freshens up her lipstick in the mirror by the door. Opening the door, she is taken aback by the man standing in front of her. Standing there in his smokey gray, Sean John suit, with a pin striped shirt to accent it, he had one button undone giving her just a little peak at his chest, which gave her thoughts of reaching out and touching it. He set it off by wearing Christian Louboutins himself, he looked like something straight out of the magazines. Closing her eyes and taking in the scent of his Unbelievable by Sean John cologne, she was ready to take him to her couch and give it to him right then and there, skipping dinner. "Are you ready to go?" Nathan asked trying to hide his rising manhood staring at this beautiful canvas in front of him. "Yes I am, just let me grab my keys." Jazmine said hoping he couldn't read her thoughts. By the twinkle in his eyes, she figured he felt the same way. Helping her step into his all black Infiniti QX80, Nathan closes the door behind her and walks to the drivers side. Admiring his taste in cars, Jazmine takes a quick look around and instantly loves the way the tan seats with crocodile headrest sets off the rest of his SUV. "Are you comfortable?" Nathan asks while putting on his seatbelt. "Yes, very, thank you." Jazmine responds putting her seatbelt on as well. Pulling up to the restaurant, the valet helps Jazmine out of the car. Waiting for Nathan, she stands glaring at the beauty of Xaos Sushi Lounge. Feeling a hand placed gently on the small of her back, she quivers at the touch of him guiding her through the doors. "Lord, please let me make it through the night." She says a silent prayer to herself. •••Seated at their table, waiting for their orders to arrive, they made small idol talk. "Tell me about yourself." Nathan says before taking a sip of his water. "Well, what would you like to know?" Jazmine says squeezing lemon into her water before taking a sip. "I want to know everything, start from the beginning." "Well, I grew up with my mother and older sister. Don't really know much about my father, mom never really spoke of him. She worked really hard to make sure my sister and I had the best of everything, so I busted my butt in school to make sure I could repay her. I graduated valedictorian from high school, earning me a partial scholarship to Spelman. There, I worked in a diner to cover the rest of my school fees. Once I graduated, I went to Harvard law and well, here I am." "Sounds interesting, what made you become a lawyer?" "I've always hated when people were treated unjustly. Every time the little guy would get picked on, I'd step in to defend him. Not to mention, I would always have these debates with my sister growing up, which I guess you can say prepared me for the path I chose." Jazmine laughs thinking back to all the times she argued with her sister to get her way. As the waitress places their meals in front of them, she pours them a glass of white wine and asks if there's anything else she can get them. They say "no" in unison and the waitress walks away, leaving them to their conversation. Carefully picking up one of her spicy tuna rolls with her chopsticks, she looks at Nathan and asks, "So, what inspired you?" and then pops her food in her mouth. "Well, just like you, I grew up in a single parent household. It was just me and my mother, and I watched her struggle every day while my dad moved on to his other family." He said while picking up his California roll and dipping it into the wasabi before taking a bite. "I'm sorry to hear that." Jazmine said apologetically. "It's okay, I actually have a very close relationship with my younger brother, so it's cool." He said taking a sip of his wine. "I've watched my mom go through so much hell with my dad, going back and forth to court to get support from him. He fought her for years trying to get out of his responsibilities to me. Eventually, she was awarded child support, but by that time I was already determined to make things better for us. I just always felt that if she had better representation, she wouldn't have had to struggle for so long." Trying to hold back his tears, he took another bite of his California roll. Seeing that Nathan was about to break down just speaking of his childhood, Jazmine quickly changed the subject. "So, you have a younger brother?" "Yes, Marcus, that is my boy, we're about ten years apart, but I do just about everything with him. He just graduated from Morehouse and has been accepted to Yale Law School." "Well, that's exciting! I bet you are very proud of your brother." Jazmine exclaimed in hush tones before sipping her wine. "I'm extremely proud of him." Jazmine could see the way his eyes glistened as he talked about his younger brother. Nathan talked about Marcus as if he were his son instead of brother and was very proud of his brother's accomplishments. •••After dinner, Nathan took Jazmine out for a stroll on the beach. Not wanting this night to come to an end, he had to think of something else that they could possibly enjoy without being surrounded by a lot of people. He really enjoyed her company and wanted to be alone with her before heading back to her house. The moonlight sat perfectly on the water and as she looked up to stare at Nathan, Jazmine realized the water wasn't the only thing the moonlight made glow. Standing there lost in his eyes, she began to get caught up in her thoughts. "It's a beautiful night." Nathan said bringing her back to reality. "Yes it is, but I should have brought a jacket because it's a little chilly." Jazmine said holding her arms. Nathan takes off his jacket and wraps it around Jazmines shoulders, then rubs her arms trying to warm her up. Jazmine breathes in his scent causing her to instantly get wet. "Thank you." She says as she closes her eyes and imagines how it would feel to have him inside of her. She didn't know what it was about this man, but Jazmine knew that she was very sexually attracted to Nathan and in her mind, that was not good. She was devoted and dedicated to her work, and by just making partner, she didn't need any distractions. Jazmine wasn't the only one lost in thoughts of love making. As Nathan walked slowly next to her, he couldn't help but notice how absolutely stunning she was tonight in her black, knee length dress that looked like it had been painted on. It hugged all of her curves so right that he couldn't help but wonder how she looked with it off. Her soft and silky caramel skin hovering on top of him as he slowly stroked her. Licking his lips, he imagined how she would taste, her juices flowing and him slopping them up with his tongue. Breathing in her Obsession perfume, he began to grow "obsessed" with her. Trying to hide his manhood that was becoming engorged by the minute, he stopped to pick up a rock. "Nathan, are you okay?" Jazmine asked bringing him back from his thoughts of making passionate love to her right there in the sand. "Yes, just taking this night in that's all." He said cooly not wanting her to see his flushed face because all of his blood rushed to his other head. "It is a beautiful night, huh? Look at the way the moon luminates the water. This is perfect." Jazmine said taking it all in as well. •••Dropping Jazmine back at her house, Nathan steps out and walks to the passenger side. Opening her door, he helps her out of the car and walks her to her door. As he hesitantly removes his hand from the small of her back, Jazmine fumbles around in her purse trying to find her keys. Just as she was about to put her key in the door and walk in, Nathan grabs her chin and bends over to seal the night with a kiss. As their lips collide, Nathan parts Jazmines lips with his tongue and enters her mouth. His kiss was so tender, so juicy, all she wanted to do was savor his sweet taste. Breaking the kiss while collecting herself, Jazmine says, "Thank you for the lovely evening, I really did enjoy myself and your company." "I had a great time too, hopefully this won't be my last chance to spend time with you." "No it won't be the last, we do work together." Jazmine said with a flirtatious smile just as she walked in the house and closed the door.
